However, the absence of tablecloths and the hard floors took away some of the hotel's character. The service was exceptional, with attentive and smartly dressed staff executing dishes perfectly. The location offered stunning views and local walks to enjoy, though it could have been more magical with the hills in the background. Dining in the beautiful restaurant with magnificent views was delightful, living up to its 5-star rating. Facilities were top-notch, providing a relaxing and enjoyable experience.

The hotel had excellent and beautifully decorated rooms, boasting a king-size bed, lovely en-suite, and a wee snug area with splendid views to the front. However, there were some issues with a cracked bath and sink, and the plug chain wasn't connected to the sink.
